Abstracts :
Une série d'automates musicaux dérèglés, semi-autonomes, instantanés et sans fin, légèrement interactifs. La programmation de simulations informatiques a ouvert un nouveau champ de création artistique, dont les mots-clés sont : autonomie et temps-réel. Dans ce champ, la tension entre réel et symbolique se déplace sur la fabrication de la cause (de la cause...) du mouvement. L'algorithme représente le système, mais la simulation est indifférentiable du réel. La matière première de ce nouveau médium est la programmation. Emblématiques de ma recherche plastique dans ce champ, les nanoensembles sont des systèmes abstraits, mouvants, programmés, semi-autonomes, existants dans l'instant présent et dans la durée. Le dérèglement mouvant des relations causales (mouvement/son, mouvement/image, image/son, objet/objets, corps/immatérialité, prédictibilité/chaos, local/global) sont dirigées vers notre être plus que vers notre esprit : vers l'infra-langage, vers le mécanisme. Les nanoensembles parlent à l'être de l'être humain. |
A series of triggered, semi-autonomous, instantaneous and non-ending musical automats, slightly interactives. The programming of data-processing simulations opened a new field of artistic creation, which key words are : autonomy and real-time. In this field, the tension between reality and symbolic systems moves to the manufacture of the cause of the movement. The algorithm represents the system, but simulation is a reality with no difference.. The raw material of this new medium is the programming. Emblematics of my plastic researches in this field, the nanoensembles are abstracted systems, moving, programmed, semi-autonomous, existing in the present moment and duration. The disordered state leading the causal relations (movement/sound, movement/image, image/sound, objects/objects, body/immateriality, prediction/chaos, local/global) are directed towards our being, more than towards our spirit : towards the infra-language, the mechanism. The nanoensembles speak with the being of the human being. |
